Bought the big brother to my other ratchets. Also had him pull the blue hard handle off of my 1/4” and put the orange soft grip on

Hmm never thought about having my buddy change the handles so they color match.

Yep the snappy trucks have a special fixture on the truck specifically for swapping handles out. The orange handle on my 1/2” came off of a breaker bar. It was originally red. Also I think i paid $8 and change after tax for the orange soft grip itself. If your OCD with your tools like me i would recommend lol.

Honestly im not a fan of that 1/4” though. Needs wore in, the backdrag is Pretty heavy. My duralast 1/4 flex is still my favorite 1/4” ratchet

I decided to go for a ride and wound up at HF. Looked all over to find that unicorn 5.5mm socket. Their Pittsburgh sets don't come with one but, I found 1/4" shallow and deep well Icon sockets (this is the 1st time I've bough any Icons). Since I already have a **** load of shallow sockets I got the deep one for ~$30. Got some more micro fiber towels for working on my interior and a mirror to replace the one I broke a while ago.

I think we have a consensus on Wilton being the best, but they are 2x the price. Plus finding a vintage USA Wilton on the used market is a daunting task. What’s the 2nd best, and good value vise?

Wilton makes vises in the 4"-5" jaw size for $150-$200. Check Wilton's website and then check ebay. As mentioned, those are generally made in Asia but they are made to Wilton's specs.

Ok I lied, I have seen them before, but I can't find a 5" for under $200, but here's a 5" mechanics vise for $250 shipped.

Check out these. The 1/4 metric has the 5.5. These are pretty much my go to sockets anymore even though my shallow and deep are snap on.
