I want to see a section of hose clamped with that, AFTER the clamp has been removed. I want to see what amount of hose damage occurs when that wire is sliding along the surface as it's being tightened; and the amount of "cold flow" that happens from the small surface area of the wire.

IF it doesn't damage the hose, I'm impressed.

This isn't about new tools but, as I've posted before, I'm trying to get my stuff more organized so, I was looking at some of the cabinets and shelves around my shop and noticed there's a lot of wasted space.

I have some of those white wire racks you can hang on the upper shelf but these are too thick. I scrummaged around and found I had some 1/8" hard board (or Masonite we used to call it years ago) and have a bunch of 1/2" square tubing to make some shelves. So I welded some frames together.

Painted them

Had some pop rivets laying around.

Organized this cabinet for better use of space.

Has anyone used this clamptite system? I'm thinking about getting the standard kit and replacing all of my worm style clamps.

Looks like a lot of fumbling around to get it on for what a band clamp or traditional clamp can do in seconds. At least with a tabbed band clamp you can turn the tabs to the bottom side so they are less obnoxious. This wire thing is not that "clean" looking when done. It maybe ok for steering rack or cv boots but not so sure on a fluid connection and it would be a hard time pulling it off in a confined space if you can't flip the tool all around. Good idea but question the practicality.

Had extra points from my Prime card so I ordered this impact driver. I have a drill driver with the 1.3AH batteries and they don't last very long so, I thought I'd try the 2.0AH ones. I also got a couple bits for it. ALL FOR FREE!

Then I found a couple other fun things

I'll give one to my son and hang the other in my shop.

Youll love that impact, Ive had mine for almost 3 years now and my biggest complaint is the plastic case on the batteries breaking.

Yeah, it came yesterday, has 3 speeds - slow, fast, and ballistic! How many times did you drop yours, ha ha?
