I'm new to the site, and thought that I would chime in here. I'm not quite ready but the next truck that I'm looking to get is a 97-00 K2500 CCSB. I really love the looks of those trucks and with a growing family I need more than my current 03 extended cab. My ultimate goal would be to find a truck down south, or from the south that is really clean. I would love to find one that has a blown engine and while my current truck is still running/driving to be able to do a full rebuild on the driveline and susupension and put in an LS engine.

I've done several LS swaps and my current car that I'm rebuilding is a 1968 Camaro with an LS6 and 6 speed trans. I'd really like to have the K2500 because they come with the 4L80e, that will very easily work with the LS engine ECU.

At this point I'm casually looking, but if I find the right deal I'm going to just pull the trigger and start the rebuild process. The goal is to have a clean super reliable Daily Driver and not pay $30k+ for a new truck. I'd like to update the interior with a double din radio with navigation/bluetooth/etc.

All for now, but if someone does have a CCSB that is solid shoot me a message.

Thanks,
Ryan

That was pretty much my plan, and I did find a pretty clean 99 Suburban, which is practically impossible here in northern Minnesota. I've been pretty disappointed with the interior fit and finish. Its really easy to work on but it seems like everything squeaks or rattles inside. It's a little thing, it doesn't bother most people, but it drives me insane. I did put in a double din head unit and a backup cam, I would recommend you get the complete dash bezel and not the trim plate that requires you to cut your original. I have a fair bit of experience with stuff like that and I had some trouble getting it to fit correctly. I wish I had just spent a little more up front, and I will be getting one eventually.

Also, is there a for sale section here for Vehicles? I see the for sale section but I'm only seeing parts?

Welcome to the forum. The cc are kind of hard to find, and one with a blowen engine even more so. These trucks just dont quit, butyou may be able to find one witha bad trans. As for trucks for sale here, that doesnt happen very often.

Thanks for the links Kenny. I wished that truck was closer, getting it to NY would be quite an ordeal. I'm hoping to find one that's maybe half that distance away from me. I don't mind driving, but NY to LA is probably 24 hours.

Yes, a 24 hour drive 1 way is a drive. Only thing about comming that far south though, you know its never seen a salted road. Im about 150 miles from New Orleans, and it never snows here. Well almost never any way. About once every 10 years or so, maybe.
