Hello guys.
I'm replacing the motor mounts on my 89 K1500.
I've already got 3 sets from 3 different vendors, and none of them fits.
all are marked as K compatible, but when I dry fit it on the truck, I get about a 1/8" gap between the new mount and the chassis.
am I doing something wrong or will the mount will conform once the engine is in and the bolts are torqued down?
will appreciate any advice.
here is a picture of the old and new mounted on the chassis (not bolted).

Yeah, the new mounts are cheap junk. Thin steel shells.

I wanted to replace the mounts in my '88 K1500 when I had the engine out in 2018, but after looking at the aftermarket crap that was all I could source...I put the 300,000 mile original mounts right back in.

the new ones I got, looks good quality if to be honest. They just don’t seat flash with the button. I’ll try installing it with a spacer, but will keep the old ones just in case.

Buy NOS originals.
They’re out there.
What brand mount did you buy?

I got drive tech from Napa. Duralast from auto zone, and also got one from O’Reilly that I already returned.
All 3 have that 1/8”-1/4” gap.

So, dimensionally, they don’t match?
What is this measurement on the original?

Old 1-7/16". New 1-9/16". so that 1/8" difference.
I ended up adding a couple of large washers under the bottom bolt and I will see how it holds.
I can always add a steel plate if needed. the bottom bolt is the easy one to get to.
