The rest of his lights came in and he got it all swapped out. It looks much better!

Very sharp!
I would recommend painting the grille mesh black so it doesn't show, really brings the "floating" grille bar look out. I'm going to do that to my new grille, once I get the Burb back from the collision repair shop. Going in Monday, to fix $2200+ worth of damage incurred on August 9. At least the other driver admitted fault and she has insurance, that is paying for the repairs.
Eventually I will put a new grille in Rawhide (my crew cab) but for now the one it has is okay. One currently in the Burb is busted up....

Well, my son turned 16 a few weeks ago and he’s been enjoying his “new” ‘99 K1500. The ol’ girl turned out really nice and so far he’s done a great job of keeping it clean inside and out.

I personally love the throwback 92-95 centercaps on the stunningly clean saw blade wheels! The 96-99 should've been smooth.

Also, I'm seeing the aftermarket stereo and the factory slave CD player... there is a pocket available to replace said (now non functional?) OE CD player. It was one of the first things I replaced on my '95. And having that pocket is perfect for storing a pair of shades!

When looking at OBS pics he noticed the older trucks have the simulated lug nuts and liked them, so we ordered a nice set off of eBay. It’s surprising how opinions vary on these caps. He’s had a few people tell him that they hate the earlier caps and others prefer them.

He’s a 16 year old kid, and he’s done a few things to make it his own. He went with the state flag as front license plate which is super popular with the young folks here, though I personally would have chosen something else. He preferred the older caps and preferred the look of it without the toolbox. He also added the black bed rail caps, which I do like. The PO removed the side trim and he likes it better without it. I suggested he at least put the 1500 emblem on the door, but he likes the clean look without it.
I’m trying to not get too involved and I want to let him make it his own, but I’m so glad he’s not into the squatting, godawful huge rim thing!

That big smile says it all, that's what our trucks are all about.
