Thanks but, that looks like a different article. The cam coming with this short block is 230/236 @0.050", .510/.520" with 1.5 rockers. IDK if it's a Comp Cams or not but, I found the same specs it here.

Blue Print advertises it with 1.6 rockers, .544/.555"

Thats a pretty big chunk of cam for a heavy truck. Whether that one will be better or the smaller one you have in the current engine is really going to depend on where you shift it. 700r4/4L60E transmissions do not like shifting much over 5,500 rpm without having been built with the heavy duty clutch piston return springs and a few other goodies.

I LOVE how my 383 pulls from 3,500-5,500 rpm and my cam is smaller than the one currently in your 350.

I don't know much about transmissions. The one I bought ~4 years ago has, according to Trans Depot;

Heavy Duty HIGH ENERGY Z Pack Clutch Set
Remanufactured Pump Assembly Which Includes 10 Vane Rotor Set, Teflon Bushing, Hardened Rings, 500 Boost Valve and All Recommended Updates
Superior Stage 2 Shift Kit
Heavy Duty "Upgraded" Sun Shell
29 Element Sprag (Heavy Duty) with Double Cage

HD Kevlar Performance Band

Bushing Kit (OEM Specs)
Hi Performance Corvette Servo
Heavy Duty 5 Pinion Rear Planetary

Will that work? With changing weights and springs in the governor, I have it set up to shift @5000 right now and may see about raising it some.

Mine does not fall off until about 5,800-6,000 with a 218/228 @ .050 although there is not enough meat to worry about going much over 5,800. At 5,000-5,200 you can tell its still pulling well. I love having that torque down in the 3,000-4,000 range though. I have been intending on setting the converter to lock WOT in 2nd gear around peak torque. Puts an additional 10-15 hp to the tires and stretches 2nd out a little longer.

Well, I said "Screw It", and ordered the Blue Print 383 short block, it's 30 - 45 days out. :33:
I just got a call from my rep at Blue Print Engines - my short block is ready and will ship either today or Monday.
Not bad, I ordered it on the 5th, it took only 12 days! :big_banana_Dance:
