Then maybe try replacing the dizzy, but first pull the crank pickup sensor and see if the tip of it is gouged.

It is a new crank sensor. I replaced it about a month ago.
New isn't the same as good. Testing to verify function is the right answer, not replacing with new.Tried 2 new sets of wires
Tried 1 new cap/rotor and the original used set.
If you've already gapped it that's good, but I'm suggesting it just so tabs (figuratively) are kept on it.I will check the crank sensor tonight.
Seems like it was .030 with out any shims.
What should it be?
