A coworker of mine is getting one of those for his turbo 5.3/4L80 build. They look pretty damn slick and are affordable too.

Okay, did the cam, valvesprings, stall converter, new water pump, timing cover before installing the motor and trans today.

Once the motor runs and drives, I'll spend some time cleaning the heads and valvecovers up.

Got the cooling system stuff done today, motor and trans are hard mounted. Added a TBSS intake manifold.

Hopefully get the new 25 gallon factory tank and fuel system installed tomorrow. Removing the fuel cell.

I'll probably never paint it. Seems to be the subject of conversation for many people.

Doesnt really concern me, interior is stupid nice and the truck has been frame off redone.

The drop springs still seem to be doing well. Didn't settle as far as I'd have liked. But it rides alot better than a flipped truck.

I don't blame you. Stuff like that gives a truck character.
I agree about the flip kit. I'm about to replace mine with a set of hotchkis drop leaf springs that I found. You wouldn't believe how damn hard it is finding a set of those.

Few updates, first 6.0 shelled itself out in the first 10 minutes of run time. It may have had 93,000 miles on the donor, but most likely a million idle hours and 3 total oil changes.

Purchased another LQ4, which I went totally thru the bottom end and installed a set of 243 heads on. So it should have nearly 10.5:1 compression.

Muck monster removed:

Just have to install the exhaust, cooling system and add fluids now.
