Mud truck Build Ideas

I have a 91 k1500 short wheel base with a built 350 and a tranny that is close to gone. Im trying to decide on straight axle, gear, and suspension set up the body is straight but will need to be painted but frame and suspension is my main concern.

Any ideas on anything would be greatly appreciated and considered thanks.
