I'm knocking out a big round of maintenance on my dually this month, just got the drums off and I'm in need of rear shoes. Raybestos has their professional line as does AC Delco, both of those are organic. I was hoping for something with a bit more bite due to the weight of my camper and trailer. My fronts seem to lock first when loaded and I have more aggressive front pads waiting to go on bit they'll be worthless with the current rear braking force.

You probably saw these posts in my other thread but I did quite a bit of research on this subject. I'm pretty sure that an FF edge code is the best you're going to do for shoes. Powerstop might have something more aggressive, but I didn't like that they were bonded instead of riveted so I never looked into it any farther.

OEM ACDelco (Not Professional) 19150002 shoes are FF.

Not sure if Powerstop uses accurate photos on their website or not, but if they do then their shoes are also FF.

Yeah, saw the FFs, just suspect they live on the low end of that spectrum.

Powerstop B451 look to be GG code, but I can't find anything about what size drums they fit. They pop up under '97 K1500 Suburban 5.7L on RockAuto but they don't have any fitment info listed. Also bonded instead of riveted as I mentioned earlier.

EDIT - Summit Racing says they're for 13" x 2.5" drums.

I'd be interested to see if there's anything better than an FF code shoe for any of the other drum sizes too, if anyone finds anything feel free to share. The ACDelco FF code shoes I mentioned earlier are for the 11.15" x 2.75" drums.

B452 is for the full floater, just ordered them, wheel cylinders, and all hardware. Centric appears to make a heavy duty shoe but I'm not finding good pics or any info regarding their CF. The Powerstops are semi-metallic, the only ones I've seen so far. Hopefully the bias comes out where I want it with the Hawk LTS up front as an FF pad.

Well they showed up and they're GG. I sure hope they're awesome. Should have them on this weekend when the rest of the **** shows up.

I'm not sure if the thick shoe goes in the front?

I wish Powerstop had a GG offering for the smaller 11.15" x 2.75" drums. I still can't find anything higher than FF for those.
