the tcc apply tables will be similar to the 411/LS stuff. They were very similar in the late TBI PCM. Sounds like you need to set your TCC RELEASE to something low like 10 or 20 mph.

EFILive has TCC release tables, but it's not in there. There's another table that's not unlocked. I do wonder about PCM Hammer though, I should download that and have a look.

Install a two-pole pressure switch like the one found in a 700r4 valve body and screw it into the overdrive test port in your transmission case (I think most 4l60e’s have that) then wire into it a 12v ignition on power source. Then wire the out port to the wire that goes through the transmission plug directly to the tcc. Then attach a diode upstream from your connection to prevent backfeed into the ecm. This will apply the tcc when it hits od and keep it locked while in OD. It will only work if you have a test port. I’ve done it on 700r4/4l60 transmissions before.

When I rebuilt my 700R4 I bought a 3-4 pressure switch to put in the valve body and a vacuum switch to put inline with it for TCC engagement so I could eliminate the ECU. When I had the transmission apart, I found that it already has a 3-4 pressure switch in the valve body, and that all I need to do is install the vacuum switch inline. I'd imagine the 4L60e already has a pressure switch as well.

I had a toggle switch hooked up to lock it, and that worked great, it was just a pain to remember to unlock it when stopping.

I'm not an EE, but I think you could use a thyristor. You could use the signal from the brake wire to turn it off and it will stay off until you manually turn it on again.

I’m not sure about this but I’m thinking it would be hard to make a tcc stay locked but unlock for all shifts. I have HPTuners but I don’t know enough about it when it comes to all ecm/tcm applications.

You can't swap a 4L80e into the S10? :D
There is a guy in my town with a 4.3l s10 with a 4l80e. He was having transmission problems and found out that for some reason his s10 has a 4l80e. It was factory or a really well done conversion from what I could tell.

Swapped.

There's a guy that has a YouTube channel called 21Bravo. He's got a twin turbo LS with a 4L80e in a Ford Ranger! LOL.
