Ls swap power steering problem

First post, winging it.... Took 10 minutes to even figure out how to post...lol..

99 gmc k3500 cclb srw. 2004 lq9/4l80e pto tcase.

Problem, steering is extremely light. Like a mouse could drive it its so light. Its sketchy and dangerous at highway speeds. It has a reman gear box from parts store. Reman ps pump from same and pump is original to this ls and is hydroboost. No evo stuff.

This is my first originally evo equipped gmt400. My old truck a 96 k2500 8600gvw truck had perfect steering.
Should i swap everyting on this one to a 96 setup? Is there an adjustable v.o. i can install and adjust to my comfort? Looking for cheapest route as most if us are. Thanks, Kyle.

Hydroboost pumps inside the housing are the same BUT the pressure is cranked up from 1200 PSI to 1500 PSI. Try a standard pump with lower pressure?
