Two questions:

I read on another forum that k5 body mounts will lower Tahoe's one inch is that true also for suburbans?

Has anyone swapped an impala rear-end into suburban/tahoe to allow bigger wheels?

Thanks for help

Location
Abbotsford B.C., Canada.
C1500 rear diff. width = 64.75"
Impala 9C1 rear diff. width = 61.64"
Measurement taken from wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface.
The 4-link ears would have to be cut on the Impala diff., (mainly to ensure minimal clearance issues) & perches welded onto it for the leaf spring mounts. Just gotta make sure that the pinion angle is dialed in when welding on those spring perches.
The Impala's wheel studs are slightly smaller in diameter.
Also, the Impala 9C1's have the added benefit of rear disc brakes!
Other than that, if you have the ways & means, it's a very possible swap.

See I was thinking of using that for bagging the burb. And to fit my 22x11 but with the measurements you just provided I guess I will just shorten my axle.
