I hope to have my truck ready for paint before Xmas. So I am checking out color chips from across the GMT400 production run for a light-ish "Silvery" blue. I have come across a few colors/codes and want to know if anyone out here has seen or have a truck in these colors....... Code 22 Light Huron Blue, #23 Ocean Blue,#30 Atlantic Blue and #27 Light Stellar Blue. Can these just possibly have been low /not popular enough for any to be out there? I have come up empty in searches.

What yr is your tk? What is the 2-tone pattern you were looking at? Earlier tk's did an inset contrast color, later trk's had the lower part a 2-tone. Of course you can do whatever you like.

There are a lot of good blue shades GM used. Here is a pic of my tk after painting. Lt French Blue Metallic (1989) & Silver. IDT as I recall that's the "Official" GM color name for an '89. B/C my WA letters were worn out on the sticker, I matched the color out of the Nason/DuPont/Axalta color-chart book to my truck door. It's a very close approximation to the original.

I like it. It's a color combo ya rarely see. Original tk color. I've had several OBS tks in over the yrs, and painted quite a few different OBS tk's various colors & combos. I'm honestly not real partial that This or That color or combo is 'best'. I like most of the colors GM used back then. White would be my least favorite color (but guess what color my DD Dodge turned out to be??) LOL.

OP, you might do a Google image search with something like, "Blue OBS Chevrolet pickups" (and various variations of that search string) and see what comes up.

Are you trying to match the original color of your truck, or go with a new light-blue you like?

Here's a link to another light blue metallic tk with a few high-rez pictures if you click on them. When that color is nice and shiny it really looks great IMO. You rarely see vehicles painted that color anymore. When it gets old and dull... well, it's not so pretty (like old oxidized yellow or red paint looks crappy).

Here is a video (below) of a slightly darker version of light-blue. As I mentioned there were multiple variations. They look similar but the mixes are slightly different if you look through the color book. If you're trying to match your truck, find a spot like on the inner door (under the door panel). Buff it and take it to the paint shop for comparison ...in good light.

But I think the color below looks really rich, and snazzy to my eye. I think the lightest light of the light blues were in 88-89 IIRC.

Since light colors are a lot harder to match down the road (than dark colors), my personal recommendation would be to have enough paint mixed so you end up with at LEAST a pint of extra basecoat left-over (for any future repairs) when you get your truck painted.

Let's say you added a roll-pan or visor down the road (or needed a fender repaired). A shop could mix up and spray the color it needed. Lay down 2 coats to get 'color' even if it was slightly 'off'. Then mix up part of your ORIGINAL left-over mix for the final top coat/s. Thus you'd stand the best chance of getting a perfect color match. So having a little left over is a good idea. I've ordered I think 3 pints of base for my light-blue truck over the yrs I've had it and none of the mixes were spot on. So I made sure I have plenty left over after this last re-spray ...just in case.

In fact, I have a Jetta TDI that is dark blue metallic. Normally an easy color to match. I've done several paint repairs over the yrs. New front fenders. Hit a deer here or there. Then did a major half-car respray, etc. It's just a parts-runner, not a show car. But I can tell you that while it looks great during the day, you get it under the 'right' light (or I should say wrong light) at night, like certain gas station lights, a discerning eye can clearly see each mix is a different shade. Some are pretty far off. And those mixes were all supposedly the correct factory mixes mixed by the same autobody paint shop from the same paint code (they have my code of previous Jetta mixes on file). But it illustrates the point, just a few drops of a certain tint (more ...or less) from the mixer (since it's mixed by grams) can affect color matches, often widely. So having some left-over paint after your re-spray, is a real good idea.

But I wanted more metallic on my 88 so, without getting a custom blend I'll never be able to match, I got this Sherwin Williams 50430

I didn't have it jammed since, the original was fairly close. It ain't a show truck so, what the hell. I like it! ;)
