I'm currently doing a frame up build on a 96 rcsb and I'm the point where I need to start figuring out the fuel system. I have a LQ4 that will be getting a single turbo setup and I'm aiming for 650whp. Should I get a fuel cell and run an external pump or use a stock tank with an intank pump? I don't know of any in tank pumps that would work for my goal though. What would you guys run for this setup?

I've had success with putting an AEM 340lph e85 pump into the stock hanger. Same size as the original pump, same electrical connect, just swapped right in.

I have a single walbro 450 in the tank of my 88 K1500 and it's about tapped out on E85 at 14psi. I'd guess around 550rwhp. I'd suggest something like a 340 or 450 in the tank and run a separate surge tank with twin pumps in said tank. Hyperfuel G-Surge makes a twin pump version that's cost effective. On anything less than 1/2 tank I get fuel starvation issues when 4x4 launching the thing and 1/3 or less has issues in 2wd once boost comes on.

Some how I ended up with two of the PN 18379 Phantom in tank pump/hangar/sending unit 340 lbph and have one still new in box for sale if it will work for you. Need to sell but not enough posts here to do it. I would take $300 plus shipping for it still in the Amazon outer box. Think you’ll need a couple of -6 AN adapter fittings for it as well for stock lines to pump connect. I’m in St. Louis Missouri let me know if it will work for you.
