Looking for a Whipple for 5.7 Vortec

    Supercharged111, do you have pics already posted on here somewhere showing your 350 and 454 Whipple’s installed? I’d like to see how one is mounted versus the other, and how the different tubes are routed around the engine bay.

    Good point on the hydroboost,... I’ll investigate. Planning on the hydroboost swap when I do the NV4500 swap,.....Need good breaks when I put the manual in. I know the 4500 is a dump truck trans,....versus the quicker shifting 3500,....but, going for bulletproof. Plus the Hurst short throw shifter is already on my 4500 parts list

    Gun above reminds me of when I shot a base mounted 50cal the first time, right out of boot camp,...... 3 round burst, or, full on automatic,....both gave me a chubby. :33:

    Haven't got to shoot one of those yet. But did get a reward for helping at a .50 range that I never attended or even knew about o_O

    My 2.3 is not longer than the original 1.6 that I had on my 454.

    Mine is the exact same length it just had a snout that was about 3.5” shorter.

    The 454 1.6 has an extended snout. The 1.6 used with the 350 has a short snout like the 2.3 did with the 454.

    On the 350, why couldn’t you relocate the alternator so that the large 2.3l can mount on the passenger side and then you just need to pipe it over to the top on the 350 intake?
