I don't know if you're in Illinois. Because if you're in the Chicago land area I got a radiator that ordered extra of by mistake long story I'll tell you later.

Thank you, I checked out Spectra and they had a great selection of thicker ones. Haven’t had time to call them yet, but I might call a few local wreckers and see if I can find a 3500, before I call spectra.

The tall mounts and shrouds from gassers are all the same regardless of thickness, so if you can't find tall and thick you can still get the mounts and shroud off of a 2500.

Probably not as nice as some of the others mentioned but I bought part number B624 from Autozone a few years back. It had a thicker core that what was leaking at the time. Didn't have the time to shop around due to an upcoming trip. Is holding up well and I noticed a difference with keeping the engine cool when towing.

If anyone can recommend a source for a good quality radiator for my 92 Chevy 2500 with a 5.7 I would greatly appreciate it. I'd like to find one with a pretty thick core

Performance Radiator just told me they strongly recommend a copper/brass radiator for any cast iron block because of "galvanized corrosion" that aluminum causes. Anybody have any knowledge about that? I've never hear of it before. I've used aluminum on a couple of trucks but sold them before any problem developed

There is a lot of information about this online, by googling. An aluminum radiator will corrode from the iron but the iron stays intact. With a copper brass radiator the corrosion in from the block but it's very minimal. With both an aluminum block and aluminum radiator, if the grounds are not good everywhere, there can be quite excessive corrosion of the radiator and the block both. I think I'll go with the aluminum radiator and keep my grounds in good shape.

Lots of iron block engines, including ours, run aluminum/plastic.

They probably meant galvanic corrosion.... it's between dissimilar metals and an electrolyte. If you change your coolant I'm sure it'll be fine. If it was ever an issue, the automakers have solved it.

I just looked up my truck on thier website..... thier plastic/aluminum radiator is DOUBLE what I paid for my TYC.
