Learned something new...

Driving this thing since '93 and never knew the underhood light had a magnet in the base...not an item I use often, but when needed I always used the cord to snag an edge above where I'm working. Anyone else NOT know this?

Those reel lights will reach the rear bumper of a RCSB. Just past the rear wheel opening of RCLB's & ECSB's.
The magnet should have a thin felt pad on it so it can be stuck to the body without scratching the paint.
LEDs really make a diff in them.

Yeah but, not all trucks came with the reel light. Here's mine on my 88.

My dad's 96 had one, but my 99 does not. I considered taking it for my truck before he sold it, but I let it go. I did take the under hood storage box, and un-broken heater core cover, Though.

My 96 has one too, the only GMT400 I've owned that actually came with one, lol. Thanks for letting us know there is a magnet on these!

I snagged a few from the yard when I was there. Debatin findin another for the Escalade. That magnet is cool.
