We've had a lot of issues with the late model car punks doing this in my area.... I'd rather not be painted with that brush.
true I think if you could keep all crazy people out it "might" be okay it to bad that every one wants to act like it is super/hyper car

I agree with that, but the Houston Sports Authority owns all the Reliant/NRG property, and they are definitely interested in making $$$ off it. But I love the idea of using it (if we could get it) because I'm just a couple miles away from there. And it's right on the freeway and easy to get to from anywhere.
I just don't want to see @someotherguy and his coworkers, towing us away cause we're not where we are "supposed" or "allowed" to be .... Everyone in the South Main corridor knows what happens to people who park where they are not allowed, during Rodeo or games or concerts..... your ride gets hooked! And your wallet gets drained, to get it back.... City of Houston parking enforcement ticket was $110, before the pandemic, no telling what it is now.
That might be what the ticket costs when Park Houston comes around and tickets illegally parked cars.. I don't know; we don't work for the city. But the city-regulated non-consent tow rate for private property has been $220 for a while now and just went up to $225.50 on 1/1/2025. The moment it hits the lot you add the impound fee, first day's storage, etc. so even if you pick it up right away it'll be $300 and change.

Mind you if I got called out to come tow a bunch of GMT400's at a gathering I'd have to decline. ;)

I remembered you had said something about towing cars around Rodeo time....
And that ticket was on Burb in 2021, at the first post pandemic Autorama. We'd been parking in the same lot near the GRB and on Saturday of that weekend, there was a scammer saying he was taking parking fees. Apparently we were one of the few who got caught. One of my toy show friends came up to me, with a picture of my Burb on his phone, showing the boots. So we went outside, called the number (which is on the East Coast!) and waited on hold in the rain...then the Park Houston guy comes and does his thing after we pay.
So the next year we found a different lot, big enough spaces for Rawhide and a box van. They are closing down soon because of the impending freeway reconstruction though.

Pirate valets, I call 'em. Even at the self-park places. Too many of these shtbags out there pretending they're the "official" people taking your money to park at a particular lot. Rodeo time is bad with 'em..
