I have a 383, aluminum heads and a cam in my 97 Express. So I understand the fueling side. Mine would hold 12.6:1 to 5,200 rpm then drift slowly leaner as the RPM increased. I was at 13.2 by 5,500. I adjusted the transmission to shift at 5,200 and set the rev limiter to 5,500.
