I haven’t died! Lots of ice and snow here on the east coast, but I made progress. My rods showed up via fedex( love those guys they are troopers), and started testing. Settled on a stainless steel alloy, left is the original and the the duplicate on the right. Working on the rest tomorrow after work. Pics below

Tapping successful, sourced some nice stainless nylon lock nuts to to keep the handle pushed out. Working on the lock cylinder rods now...

Final is to be determining shortly. Calculating materials and labor

What all does a guy need to do this swap? Just a set of the ebay handles that @Z71Hobbs linked to, and then a set of these rods that you're working on? This sounds great! Any luck on determining a price?
