Got a 98 Yukon, anyone have trouble with aftermarket stereos going bad? I’ve had two go bad within 2 months. Thinking it might be because of the factory rear amp, anyone have experience with it causing problems?

I've got a '97 Suburban that's been running a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS for the past eight years or so with the factory amp still connected, it's never caused me any issues. Not to say it's impossible, but I've never seen it.

Are you using the ground wire in the factory harness for the head unit or did you make your own?

I would try running your own ground wire for the head unit. I used the factory ones in my trucks but if I were having issues like you that would be one of the first things I'd check.
