Hey guys, so I just did a write up about installing GMT900 rear cab mounts onto my '96 c1500 to help with the ride quality. There was another guy on here that I remember mentioning the swap which got me interested in it, but I can't for the life of me find that thread anymore...so whoever you were, thanks for the suggestion...

its apparently a fairly common swap among the GMT800 diesel guys, but thought y'all might be interested in it, since I haven't heard of many GMT400's that have done it. here's my write up on it:

I'm not totally sure, its a pretty big mount physically, I think the reg cab might not fit them...its hard to say 'cause I don't have a reg cab to check it out on, but if someone with a reg cab tries it, I'd be very interested in the results.

I'd love to do this but it's all just money right? I know that it's relatively cheap at ~$100 bucks but that's still $100 I could spend elsewhere. I still want to do it though. sigh...

BTW the thread where this was originally mentioned is here

Thanks for the write up. I'll be doing this soon.
Some of my other bushings are bad, so I might as well replace them too.....

YES! thats the thread. thanks for that link, I looked all over for that and couldn't find it. I'll have to update my writeup with it when I get back from SEMA. I hear ya on the money, I know it all so well.
