Installing a Trailer "Connector"

Morning,

For the first time in 16+ years, I might actually have to tow something with my truck (sig below). I bought a wiring kit some time ago which looks a lot like this one…

Although I’ve seen a wiring connection up by the taillights, I was wondering whether or not that was the correct place to tap into.

Any info is greatly appreciated. (BTW, only need to tow a canoe trailer a short distance…)

Yup its the plug that is behind your bumper slightly to the drivers side from center. Just unplug it and plug that between the two and mount a ground

Then u can do this later cleaner mount
