Mine’s as stock as when my dad drove it off the lot new in ‘88 except I replaced the shell with a tonneau and changed the mirrors when he left it to me.

Beautiful truck! I absolutely love the paint scheme and wheels. Just wow. Did your dad custom order it?

Thanks. No, it was on the lot. I advised him to talk to the owner and avoid the going back and forth. They settled on a price and they started doing their finance thing. He said: “oh, I’ll give you a check for the entire amount right now” and pulled out his check book. They called his bank, naturally, and he and my mom walked around town while they prepped it. He drove it home that afternoon. He wanted a short bed but the 32 gallon gas tank so he could tow a distance. It also has the M44 heavy duty chassis. Go dad!
