Love to hear if anyone does this swap. Looking for a "bolt in" swap for all the same reasons in my 99 2500 sub.
There's no reason it won't bolt right up. The 7.4 and HT502 are both based on the same Gen VI block. The stock intake manifold will line right up with the Oval ports that come on the HT502 and will block off the exhaust crossover with stock L29 intake manifold gaskets. Because it is based off the Gen VI block, you will likely have to transfer over the L29 timing cover and 4x tone wheel, but they should go right over. You can see in the HT502 picture it has the 6 bolt timing cover.

I am now swapping to a single plane intake for comparison. Will see how things will change. But still stock exhaust past shorty headers

Thanks for the reply. Great to know. Almost 180k on mine. I don’t want it to fail, but a new motor sounds fun.
