Mine is the 5.7L vortec, it is a 4x4 and has the Z71 code in the glove compartment. To be fair I did want the 5.7L, I used to own an SS Commodore ute and miss having a petrol V8, see pics below.

I see a few 6.5TD models on the market at the moment but nothing near me or the family.

Oh, I see. The Commodores had the 5.7 LS 1 engine, right?

That's awesome. I saw this converted Charger at the car show Saturday.

Not at all, they weren't even released officially on the market. So this would of been imported and converted to right hand drive and then complied privately. So body work especially is gonna be a pain, seats and windscreens are already proving to be a pest... the rear seat belt pretensioner :33:

There was a run of Suburbans there were officially released by GM Holden from 1998-2001, they only sold 746 of them, 460 5.7L models the rest 6.5L diesels.
The market is changing now and there are official avenues to get an F-truck, Silverado or Dodge Ram..... but it is big money.

I didn't think they would be, but pretty cool that you were able to get one. I know seeing a full size US pickup in Europe is rare unless you're around a military base. Or in the Netherlands. For some reason they import them a bit there.

You'll definitely have your work cut out for you, and build up patience waiting on parts ha. Congrats on the new truck though!

Thanks @1952, it was a decent deal. Whilst mine is a bit rough... honest you might say, a Sierra or Silverado in good condition here fetches pretty big money.

There is a little bit of support and parts here for the engine and drive train, but the body is gonna trip me up something fierce. I'm also not a paint and body work guy, so I have some learning to do.
