Parts needed:
Wire (I had 100 ft of 18 ga with plenty left)
Butt connectors (I had a bunch)
6 (n4005 or n4006) diodes
1 270 ohm resistor (I used a 1/2 watt)
Heat shrink

There are 3 wires coming off each parking light bulb. A green, a brown, and black

Green is turn signal
Brown is park/running
Black is ground

I used the following diagram

The diodes are important as they prevent the light from backfeeding (didn't have em in the ground and both mirrors would blink with turn signal)

I paid less than $10 at radio shack for the diodes and a 5 pack of resistors

GET EXTRAS, they're fragile

If and when I fix the corner bulb stutter, I will update

I think the corner lights are supposed to do that when the park lights are on… mine do

Nice write-up, Dave did one in the original tow mirror thread, but I think it gets lost.

Lemme get this straight, you wired yours so they will be parking lights AND turn signals, right? Can you get some video of them working, I wired without any diodes or resistors, just up to the corner 194 bulb, they work perfectly when the park/headlights are on, and I like the function of them being opposite of the front marker (just like factory)..but if my park/headlights are off they don't work as turn signals...because of no diodes.

Just found this too....

Got mine wired up today with the 3 to 2 wire converter box. I mounted it here. it comes with double sided tape to hold it.

There are 5 wires on the box. On the side that says to car are 3 of them. You hook up the left an right turn signal an the park lights to these wires. Hook the park lights to the input labeled stop an the turn signals to there respective wires. I got the turn signal input from right here under the column.

Dark blue wire is right
Lt blue is left
(thanks Dave/88gmc for telling me the colors)
Just use a test light or volt meter to make sure you have the signals since there are a few similar colored wires under there.

I got the park light input from the brown wire off the back of the headlight switch.

Then hook the left an right mirrors up to the two wires on the other side of the box labeled to trailer.

That's it your done an have signals an running lights to your mirrors.
