Bent the hell out my hood about a year & half ago. Thinking about buying or junkyard find a cowl hood. So i definitely want to change the hinge out bc it has lost the coil and no matter how hard i tried to spin it anymore it wont budge. Whats the process of changung one out? Take hood off then bracket? Or..?

I did not see this post yesterday; I have a couple of sets of hood springs in the shop. All you need is a hood propalator 6000 and a couple of wrenches. You can do one side at a time. Put a thick rag under the corner of the hood to protect the cowl plastic and unbolt the hinge/spring and change it out. it should take less than 30 minutes by your self

But damn shipping was as much as the brackets

:D I hear you, doesn't that kill ya?

Although I bought a set of heavy rotors the other day which were only $19 shipping..still a lot but maybe not considering their weight. Hopefully they won't come pre-warped.

Glad you got the spring figured out.
