Compare the axle and trailing links to a weight on the end of a lever. Flipping the third link around makes a more stable base. Leaving it the way it is gives more leverage for the axle to move.
I've had 3 links from Ride Tech, and Thor Bros, and they were both oriented like his. Both were rock solid, and handled great.

With that said, given how long his 3rd link is, would've been nice if the tri-bars hit the rear end at wider points, which would have allowed them to go closer to the cross member, before coming together..

Thanks for the input guys.
I do agree about the 3rd link being spread out wider for more of a triangle which would give added stability. I would rather that then a panhard bar or watts link. I just readjusted everything today and got my pinion set to zero at ride height which is half travel about 3 inches. I've tightened everything, tomorrow I'm going to try and get one of my accuair cvt (compressor valve tank) hooked up.

Well I got one of my accuair 5 gallon tank, pump,4 valve set up. I definitely need at least two 5 gallon tanks and pumps. With the psi and air volume needed to lift the heavy front end I have to let it build up again to fully raise it. I obviously won't be running it at that height and need to make adjustments. I would like to do something different with the rear lower bag mounts and I'm not real excited with the link plates and bolts vs a square u bolt over the spring perches.
The biggest issue I seem to be having is the front double below bags. When I drop the truck they go down over the bottom plate. I need to really get high psi to pop them back up and over the plate. They literally make a pop noise like setting the bead on a tire then the truck pops up a few more inches. I'm wondering if roll plates would help prevent this because I'm sure that is not good. I definitely do not like it, I can't lower it too low or I have to max them out to bring it back down to ride height. This means I need more air more psi which is also harder on the pumps I'm sure plus it sounds bad when they pop.

I have a few more tanks and pumps so I'll add another set. I'm using 3/8 dot fittings and plastic tube, do you use a water trap or drier?

Do modern (aftermarket) air ride setups offer a more comfortable and compliant ride? Compared to factory options like in Cadillacs and Lincoln’s etc… as an example if I wanted to build a comfy highway cruiser out of a suburban would a bolt on 3link kit get it done or would a control arm/ shackles and hangers kit (retaining factory springs) with good shocks be better? Comfort being the main goal with lowered center of gravity being a wanted side effect.

Depends on where you put the bags. Mine are on the axle, better for towing but rougher riding.

So bags on the lower links, forward of the axle, would give a more compliant ride because of increased range of motion with less required air pressure?
I’m also assuming pressure adjustments are equal to spring rate adjustments?
Does bag size account for anything?

Would an air bag be considered a progressive spring?
