How big should I go.

I have a 1997 GMC 5 speed with a 305. Just got it repainted and both cab corners fixed. Still has factory wheels and was wanting to up grade a little. Thinking about going with 17x9 wheels and 265-65-17 . Is this a good combo or not?

It really comes down to the look you are after, nothing changes the style or stance like a change of wheel rims and profile of tires. Just google your truck and scroll through the images until you see something that like and narrow it down from there.

Tire and rim combos are something else! Wish I knew the offset on mine. For some reason I guess the 94 K1500 is shaped like a arrow. My front tires stick out way out and the rear almost even with the body. Pic of my tire size and how they look on my old jem.

I believe all GMT400's have a narrower rear axle.

Just a quick search on this forum and most are saying WMS to WMS on 2wd is 65” and 4wd is 68”. Could have sworn 4wd was actually 67.5 though.

Can anyone tell me what to measure between and what the measurement should be for a 2wd vs 4wd rear axle on an OBS, say 96 or so? Thanks Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2

That's interesting, I thought I had read that the Ks were the narrow ones. Guess I am misinformed....
