I had all of Sunday to work on the bed of my truck for once. Lol. And I had my best helper, my youngest grandson, Dean.

Well got a little done to the bed today, my one day off. Got the tub welded in. What would be the best caulking to use in the bed that paint will stick to? The caulking the previous owner used the paint didn't stick good to. I don't want my paint chipping off after I paint the bed.

Where did you get the weld in gas cap from? I like that idea

Any automotive seam sealer will work, I like the self leveling stuff its a little easier to work with. There is a trick to making it lay down nice. After you put the seam sealer down take some wax and grease remover and spray on top of it. This will allow you to brush it without it sticking to the brush and it will make it lay down really nice and smooth. Also if you lay tap on both sides of the seam it leaves a nice straight line when you pull it off.

I use the liquid kind and put it into one of those pressurized spray bottles. Ive never used the spray can kind im sure it would work. If you go to an automotive paint store or even autozone should have it in a small can. The wetter you get it the easier it is to work with.
