Help!!! Shutting off issue

I got a ECM out of a 91 1500 with the 5.0

OK, just wondering if it was the ECM or the chip? I don't know what the odds are the chip got corrupted or damaged but, it would be nice to know...

I’m almost wondering if it got messed up when I did some welding on the truck without disconnecting the battery

That's a good possibility if your welder ground finds its way through the ECM. Always a good idea to disconnect the ECM and battery when welding. I doesn't happen often but it sure can.
