I bought a 1989 C2500 5.7 liter 2WD 4 speed automatic. The previous owner tried to replace the horn with an aftermarket horn from auto zone. Now the wiring is all jacked up!!! I remove his “handy” work but now my truck doesn’t start!. I noticed how he didn’t it but don’t know why or what the wires he spliced into are.
Can someone please help me identify the wires? In the back right side of the engine bay there’s a bigger wiring harness, he cut the RED wire and white wire spliced them together and introduced a aftermarket, red wire, running along the back of the firewall to an aftermarket blue wire that was spliced into the alternator plug, and then runs under the dashboard which plugged in the fuse box.
My questions is what do the red and white wires do? And why won’t it start now?
