Surprised it's in so good shape, being from western/ central NY myself ( aka salt cities) , vehicles like that dont last that long......
Me too. Rochester. And my first 400 truck is a prime example of the nasty junk New Yuck throws at us every winter. Door skins flapping in the breeze, rot holes in the frame, and squeaking door hinges on every door.

Funny you have aluminum differential and transfer case skid plates but the front looks like the plastic one. Maybe it’s just the picture. Overall looks great though!

We're you around in the late 70's / early 80's when they tried that blue additive in the salt to keep cars from rusting? ( I was born in Rochester btw )

I was around, but I have no recollection of that.
I'm a '76 model. Got my driver's license in 1992, so I was kinda oblivious to a lot of things before... say 1988?
Except for Daisy Duke, and Bonnie from Knight Rider!

That's when I graduated from Monroe HS, so I'm 18 years ahead of you....they kept the salt in a big dome down at the end of Lake ave by the mouth of the Genesee river. Was just there 2 weeks ago. ( Reliving all my street racing days down Lake ave ) lol. They really did a nice job cleaning up that part of town by the lake.

Yeah, they did all that work on the Port just time for the Fast Ferry to fail. Thinking Toronto saw the writing on the wall, that's why them Canuks never built their Terminal end of that route.
We got a nice bunch of vacant buildings out of it though!
