Bought my first truck when I was about your age. An 88 with similar styling. After going through a restoration recently I would lean towards a truck with a better body. Mechanical parts are still available and these trucks are not that hard to work on. Paint and body work get expensive and it is difficult to get right on your first try if doing yourself. I had twice the money in getting the truck painted than I did in rebuilding the engine.

There are still many of these trucks out there. There is no harm in continuing to look either.

Gotcha but if I was you I’d do the 2 door Tahoe/Yukon to get your all around moneys worth! Plus they’re not that big they really just like having a single cab with a cap on the bed except you have more seating and you cargo will stay warm/cool lol

Bar is just bolted up where the hooks normally would be but that grill is something I’ve never seen before with the white and all that chrome that’s unusual but I’d get them mirrors painted white that’d be a nice small touch to have it stand out as yours!!! But that is a nice ride and remember white or black are hard to keep clean lol!

So what’s your $$$ amount your looking at? I’m cash or you getting a loan? Sounds crazy to say but days are crazy nowadays! If it’s cash money, money talks and bs tire kickers walk! I got my ride for $5 grand in 2011 that’s all I had to give I tried my best to walk away with something but at the end it was what it was an I knew she was worth it! but if you never ask you’ll never know!

My budget is no more than 10k. I had a Ford Escort that I sold for a good price, paired with saving up from work. I think I'm one of the few people in my age area that can write a check and drive stick! I have test driven some, I love the feel of it. These trucks are super smooth and no frills!

I love the Escalades and they are getting a little expensive but I dig the interiors on them.

If it were me I'd sell the plow but it could be handy. I don't really need a dually but they are really cool. 4x4 is very helpful, winters out here get slippery

I like it but the rust is slightly bugging me, but its not rusted out. Looks just like some rocker panels and some bondo and it'll be good to go. Tow package is good, never know when I'll need it.

Another one with those armchair seats and wood trim. Don't know what those drawings are but they look sweet. Very low miles for these trucks too at a reasonable price!
