I looked around & didn't notice any threads/comments about this.

Has anybody tried to retrofit a factory headrest tablet holder? Until a few days, I didn't know that OEM offered them. I didn't like any of the aftermarket units that I've seen.
A lady in the next town over is selling a factory Toyota unit because it doesn't fit her Toyota, she bought the wrong model. This is how I found that they are now offered by the OEM.
I thought that all Toyotas used the same mount style, so maybe it was seat shape difference?
So I looked up a video, most were of aftermarket units, but there was a video showing an Acadia unit.
It looks like it could fit the GMT400 seat.

So I looked up the Acadia unit to get an idea of the cost & maybe some specs & found these:
unit version #2, w/ integrated power: https://www.gmpartscenter.net/oem-parts/gm-tablet-holder-integrated-power-84142765 in notes: replaces pwr unit #1
power unit #1: https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gmc-holder-kit-f-seat-bk-acsry-tablet-install-20~23303424.html

unit version #3, non-power: https://www.gmpartsonline.net/oem-parts/gm-tablet-holder-universal-84230415 in notes: replaces unit #2
unit version #2, non-power: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-tablet-holder-universal-84141323 in notes: replaces unit #1
unit version #1, non-power: https://www.gmpartscenter.net/oem-parts/gm-tablet-holder-universal-23443874
only noticed 2 crappy videos on the GM units, neither showed install.

here is the mopar unit: https://www.proclipusa.com/product/...sal-tablet-headrest-mount-kit?p_leftorright=0
& a decent video showing install:

So my question is this, have any of you fine people tried to retrofit a factory Headrest tablet holder in their gmt400 vehicle? If so, which unit? How was the fitment? Thoughts? pics?

I have 2 styles of Arkon Head rest mounts for Ipad. I got one that mounts so the ipad is on the back of the headrest and one that mounts so the ipad is in the middle of the bucket seats. They work great. Don't remember how much I paid for them. I got them off of amazon 6-7 years ago. Works great for the kids to watch movies on long trips and it just attaches to the head rest post. I take them off when not in use and can transfer them to other vehicles.
If you have more then one child look into a headphone splitter too. I have 3 kids that share 1 ipad for movies. With the headphone splitter I don't have to hear a thing.

My son has one that works fantastic. It's called a 1 gallon Zip-Lock! iPad fits great, it's spill proof, and fits any and all removable headrests, just poke a couple holes in the bag and away you go!:33:

This is the kinda stuff I usually do, and I’ll be honest, I 100% did not think of this one! I have to say I like the way you think ✌
