Headers difference

I have a ‘99 Tahoe with a 5.7 I would like to put headers on, but don’t want to spend a fortune. All listings change at ‘99! Is it because of that damn EGR tube? Earlier models fit if it is eliminated?

Far as I know, listings change at '99 because the pickups went to the GMT800 body style.

The EGR tube started in '96.

I don't know why your '99 would be any different than a '98 as far as headers go. Tahoes kept the GMT400-style body...right?

Since yours may fall into the transition years, you may have to go by visual comparison rather than part listed catalogue. Good luck.
