Guys, got a question on front cv axles. I’m tired of replacing my cv axles lol from broken torn cheap boots I guess. My trucks stock height, bars have never been touched from factory everything is stock, and no offroading on my 94 single cab sb z71. I want to know everybody’s opinion on what to go with on a good cv axle/with surviving rubber boot lol. I have been using Rockauto’s heavy duty versions but the boots just don’t last and a year or two they rip open from it looks like friction rubbing (as in the boot ends rubbing each other believe that or not. Anyways just wanted to know what is good out there anymore if there is something besides what I’ve been using. I wish parts were made it last like my 71 stuff lol. Thanks all …..

The boots don't degrade from "friction", so there's no reason to shine 'em up.

The boots fail because they're craptastic Communist Junk. Exactly like Chinese tires, and Chinese windshield wiper blades. If you listen real close, you can hear all of them going "tick...tick...tick..." as they count-down to Total Destruction.

Replacement CV boots used to be "good work" (except on Hondas) when I was in a shop tryin' to make a living. Now, I wouldn't know where to buy a decent CV boot. I'm not sure they exist any more.
