Grinding noise after 6 inch zone lift install.

Yes I agree sounds like pinion bearing so I disassemble rear diff and installed new bearings. Did not change noise at all. Noise is only there when coasting .

so you pulled the inner and outer bearing out of and off the pinion and then reset the crush sleeve properly? impressed but continue. did you check outer axle shaft bearings while you were there? have you thought about jacking up the rear, pulling tires and keeping brakes on with lugs and decelling with someone else listening safely? tcase could be reasonating through the floor if you can hear it and they dont.

Noise was coming from rear output shaft bearing in transfer case. Thanks for.the help.
