GMT800 vs GMT400 extended cab leg room

If you need room in the second row for more than a kid seat, or small people or dogs, your options are crew cab or SUVs.....my crew cab actually has a little more foot room in back than my Burb, but I think the seat is not back as far.
I only have buddy's with the crew cab GMT900 trucks, so that's why I'm curious. My truck fits my 4 year old and black lab just fine in the back seat. The tough thing with the half ton GMT800 and 900 crew cab trucks is the tiny bed... and I don't always need a 2500 truck tp warrant it as a daily. The wife has a Tahoe, so we have the extra room when we need it. I'm more curious if the GMT900 extended cab trucks are noticeably larger in the rear seat area compared to my 98. If they are, it makes the gears start turning...
