No? I don’t mean to step out of line, but I like it. Seems more unique than the 2” cowl, while still giving a nod to that factory flat front line on the 70s C10s.‍
Not stepping out of line at all. It's a matter of personal preference and taste. It is less common, and it does echo the hood you're mentioning, I just don't think it flows with the rest of the truck.
It's your truck, if you like it, make it happen!

Definitely. This sticker says it all:
You must be registered for see images attach

I have one on my truck.
Holy-freakin-cow! You win the internet today! I love it! I wish I could smash the like button multiple times!

My roommate in college would say stuff like “well, there it is if you like it, and there it is if you stinkin dont!”

I suppose I have gotten this thread off topic a bit, but thanks for the support and the laughs!

So how do you feel about 4wd fender flares on a 2wd or a lowered 4wd? Sounds kinda messed up but it doesn't look bad at all. There are plenty of 2wd flares out there like Mark 111 customs and numerous others but the OE factory 4wd flares are just a tad larger.
I'm not a 4wd kind of guy but I do own 3 4wd trucks and 2 2wd trucks. Hey, they were nice trucks that just happen to be 4wd that's all. I've had several others over the years too.
Back on point.
I have ran across a few pics of 400's with flares that get my attention. Just random pics that may even belong to members here.

I kept the flares on the Denali clip, but cut the fenders inside them for turning clearance.
