Figured since lifted 2wd are so popular right now, might as well make a thread on the different kinds of lifts available. geared towards the 1500's, but 2500/3500 guys dont be afraid to speak up, ill add the info. this thread is intended to show the different kinds of lifts available to 2wd GMT400's.

Thanks in advance from everyone i stole pictures from, if you dont want your truck on here, just shoot me a PM.

Spring Spacers/Leveling Kit:

Springs spacers are relatively cheap, most are 1" or 2", available from eBay, Canuck Motorsports (CM), Daystar and other brands, i myself bought a set of 2" CM Spacers, never did install them.

Where can I get tubular uppers for a 2wd that’s lifted? And I didn’t think the springs were 2inches taller, is that where they get the extra 2 inches is in the spring?

You can get the tubular uppers from Chassis Tech or known as Airbagit. I called and ordered mine. I have a screen shot posted earlier with a part number I believe to the ones I have that are not adjustable. Also posted a screenshot of the adjustable ones to with the part number.

Do the 6 lug rotors go right onto the 1500 spindles? Or do I need 2500 lift spindles and do ball joint conversion? Just curious for when i possibly want to buy new wheels.

Yes the do fits but it all depends on the year model spindle and rotor if I’m not mistaken 88-91 c1500 rotors are 1 inch thick & 92-98 c1500 rotors are 1.25 inches thick rotors so it depends on the year of your truck..my setups was for a 98 so got the 1.25 6 lug rotors then added new 1 ton upper control arms redrilled them to fit the mevotech c1500 ball joint to make it all work With the c1500 lift spindle.. so if you buy the 2500 lift spindle you will need the 2500 ball joint but the 6 lug rotor should be interchangeable for both spindles
