Sorry didn't mean to thread jack. And I never said 2WDs were useless, I own one. I personally have no use for a 4WD truck so I'm perfectly happy with my 2WD work truck.

Not trying to bash 2WDs in any way, I just don't understand the point of spending a couple thousand dollars to lift one, that's all. Just my opinion.

...by the way...All my posts are refering to lifting a HD 2WD....I have no idea about if the costs are lower with a 1500
i have under $1000 into my Lift, Wheels and Tires.

4" Spindle- roughly $350
3" Body- Second hand BNIB- $150
Tires- $150
2 Wheels and tire install- 40 of Southern Comfort ($40ish)

I haven't done research since I don't own one, is a long travel suspension made for the 400? Something that can handle jumps like a desert pre runner? If so i want a 2x4

I'm not even going to post what I went through in the last 2 years lol.

I know my bank account would be much happier if I drove a Prius:gr_grin:

Haha yea no thanks, for me to install that lift I would have to spend a $1000 on the lift, not to mention I'd have to upgrade wheels....because stock wheels don't fit, so that's another $500-1000. Oh and don't forget a new set of tires... Another $800-1200.

Haha that's about how much I paid for my entire truck last year :)

stock wheels fit. where are you getting this info?

here's mine w/ nnbs wheels which have + offset (moves wheel in) i had no clearance issues with 265's also had it on stocks but i cant find the pic.
