New here, Sorry to ask a question right away but I need help. I bought a 97 GMC Sierra 1500 and the frame looks bad. I found a 99 GMC 2500 on Craigslist with the body in rough shape. If (crossing my fingers!) the frame is good, I would like to buy it. My question, can I put my cab and box on the 2500 frame? Both are single cab trucks with the long bed. Is there any modifications that need to be done? Any advice is appreciated

You should be good to go.

If its a 6-lug 2500 you'll get a 1/2 ton truck stronger rear leafs, if its an 8-lug 2500 you'll get a 1-ton tuck with weaker rear leafs.
