Forged lower control arm bushings

    I am replacing all of my front suspension bushings and i have got down to the lower control arms and I cannot get the bushings in them, does anyone know a trick to getting them in?

    Heat control arms and freeze the bushings

    The bushings are just solid rubber will that still work?

    Yes, and I used a small amount of grease on the outside of the bushing as well.

    How long do i freeze the bushings?

    I usually just throw them in overnight.

    I'm not sure there is a right answer. A few hours should do it.

    Okay sounds good, would heating the arms up with a torch do the trick?

    Also will it just slide in by hand then or how should i do it?

    Before you try to put them in make sure you have them aligned the correct way. Found that out the hard way and had them backwards but they were poly bushings so I didnt have an issue getting them out.

    Ive never had them slide in by hand.
