Anyone use 'Forever Black' as a trim restorer?
I've heard it last for years????????
If it's half that good I'll give it a try.

Can you use alternative cleaners like Simple Green?

Well I'll answer my own question.
I did the hitch part of my rear bumper on March 30, and finished the rest of the bumper yesterday and today (April 06), so its 12 days on the hitch cover, and it looks like what I did today.

Some stuff I used in the past didnt last 2 weeks.
It is time consuming ....hope it last a while.
For application I squirted dime sized drops on the bumper, and picked up what I needed with a piece of micro fiber cloth, any clean rag will work.
I cut a Home Depot 98 cent paint brush back a bit to get to cracks/crevices.
A little goes a long way.
Another coat would probable blacken it quite a bit, this is good for now, I'd be happy with this, if it last???
I didnt use the cleaner, used an old bottle of simple green.
Did the cargo door handle to.
This is just a test, to see how it does........

It will be Interesting to know if this works. I tried Mother's Back to Black years ago and it didn't last. I wonder if the bottle is still in the garage???

Well its been 30 days + since I applied the forever Black to my rear bumper.
It performed better than anything I'd used before.
The white spots are old paste wax I got on it.
The hitch portion is blacker because I spent more time applying it there.

So far I'm happy with this stuff.
I'm going to reapply and see what it does.

I just applied the second coat to see if continued applications get blacker.

This is a lot blacker than when I put the first coat on.

Did a door handle without cleaning it.
Thanks for looking, Ron

I've also used the Mothers Back to Black. It looked good for a short time. I can imagine an actual dye being more effective. I may have to give it a try.
