I picked up a factory fog light switch for my rig and I'm curiousif anyone knows the ampacity that switch can handle. I'm just going to do some led pods but I want to make sure I'll be good on the switch. If I get bigger ones.

If I had to guess, I'd say probably no more than 15 amps. Technically the connector terminals are rated for 30, but I wouldn't trust it. That switch normally only drives a single relay, and that's it. You'd be better to use it the same way and run your power to the lights more directly, using your switch to activate the relay to power them.

That's how I did it on mine. Wanted to be safe n got a relay set up just like the 4high mod hidden somewhere in engine bay. And to be honest I have no idea where it is now.
