I HAVE A 92 C1500 WITH A 5.7 AND 4L60E OUT OF A 93 IF I CHANGE MY FUEL AND ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO FITECH EFI CAN I USE THE ORIGINAL ECM TO CONTROL MY TRANS IF I TAP INTO THE FITECHS TPS SENSOR AND KEEP THE SPEED SENSOR CONNECTED ON MY TRANNY?

FiTech doesn't like harness modifications, especially signal splitting. They offer a MPFI setup with trans control, otherwise I think Aces has a TBI unit with a trans control module you can add, but maybe that's LS only.

Isn't your transmission a 4L60 and not a 4L60e? I believe 1993 was the year of the swap over. If you have a TV cable, you have a 4L60 and controlling it is fairly easy. If you have the 4L60e you need a computer to control it.

With a 4L60 the only thing the computer does is control torque converter lockup, and even that can be replaced with a vacuum switch and a bit of wiring. I have a Holley Sniper on my truck and once I got the TV cable set up correctly it works great. I haven't replaced the computer with a switch yet, but I do have the switch on hand. The computer doesn't care that it can't communicate with the engine, it still operates the TCC just fine.

My truck is a 95. I did a carb swap initially. I used the factory computer to control my transmission. I mounted a tps on my carb.
