Hi everyone,
My son (13 years old) and I are new to the GMT400 club. I have had two C10’s but grew up mostly around aircooled VWs.
My son wanted a truck like the C10s but they are scarce and high priced here in El Paso, TX. I wanted something a little old, with style, modern day creature comforts like power windows,power locks, air conditioning and fuel injected for reliability.
I found an 89 shortbed that has a pretty straight body. All of the electrical works which surprised me. The only thing wrong with it is the transmission oil pan gasket (leaks a lot) and it’s a 4.3. I got a good deal on it so I could not pass it up.
My son and I plan to learn a lot from this community. Thank you all in advance for the help.
